Discover the living world in the Museum in april/may/june









Helped by a scientific advisor, children can deepen the knowledge they have acquired at school by visiting the different themed AREAS of the Museum :

Aquarium
Ideal for learning about the bio diversity of the region's aquatic areas.
Groups of 10 to 30 children - from age 5.



Insectarium

A meeting with a large number of insects, spiders and myriapods from all over the world.
Groups of 10 to 20 children - from age 5

Noctarium

A space where day and night are reversed in order to observe the activities of the rodents of the region. Sight, sound, smell and touch are revealed in a new way.
Groups of 5 to 15 children - from age 7

The Zoological Garden's Little Farm

An ideal space to introduce children to the animal world.
Learn about basic biology
Groups of 5 to 15 children - from age 3.



Climatorium

Exploration of climate and its influence on the living world.
How climate works, the climates of yesterday and today and meteorology. A ten minute film on the greenhouse effect plays permanently.
Groups of 10 to 30 children - from age 10.



An exclusive for the Museum
Video conference in collaboration with Météo France
Using videoconferencing equipment and a large screen, your group will be able to talk directly to the weather forecasters from Météo France Besançon. Thanks to the Museum's new audio and video techniques and using the broadband Lumière telecommunications network of Besançon, you will be able to instantly see the techniques and tools used by the engineers of Météo France to forecast tomorrow's weather. The children will be able to put all their questions to Mr Météo after the forecast.
Groups of 20 to 50 children - from age 10
Duration : 1 hour (animation available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays only)
Booked groups only with at least 10 days notice.

If you want to lead your own visit there is an Education Pack containing all the necessary practical and educational information on the Museum, updated every year and presented using strip cartoons (double-sided sheets with diagrams, details of the scientific exhibitions, activities content and teaching aids).
