Zoological Garden
Discovering endangered species

Download

The educationally-oriented zoological garden places special emphasis on the conservation of endangered animal species, particularly big cats (Asian lions and Siberian tigers), primates (marmosets, tamarins, lemurs, gibbons, colobus monkeys... more than 25 species) and birds (around 30 aquatic and tropical species). Some 300 animals are evolving in spacious plant-enriched enclosures.

A large number of the species housed by the museum is part of a programme to save endangered species in captivity.
