By Maxime Houot - Collectif Coin
Presentation of the work on Friday April 7 at 6 pm.
A row of lasers fills the space with beams of red light that first form simple crosses, before building up complex, tesseract-like structures.
Ataraxie explores the void of the unknown, and asks whether we can fill it with the comforting and familiar, or find new ways of living.
Exploring the limits of his own perception, Maxime Houot deploys a practice that is both artisanal and conceptual. His questioning begins in the studio, as he builds the device that will support his next creation. Although the term "digital artist" may be used, contact with materials, machines and objects is fundamental to his work. With a degree in applied physics, Maxime Houot has always been fascinated by the world around him, even when put into a multi-element equation.
