A new story, new settings, new puzzles, and new intrigues!
The Citadel Under Siege!
After six seasons of “The Poison Affair” and 4,500 participants, the Citadel of Besançon has been offering a new theme for its escape game since the summer of 2025. The space has been completely redesigned with new decor, a new theme, and new puzzles!
Early18th century. We are in the midst of the War of the Spanish Succession. Louis XIV’s kingdom is under threat from all sides. The enemy is closing in, and the citadel must prepare for a siege.
You have very little time to gather the necessary resources. With careful thought, a keen eye, and skill, you’ll be able to find all the equipment you need to fend off the attack. The governor will come to check on everything in an hour—be ready for the inspection!
Like many other Vauban fortresses, the citadel of Besançon was designed to withstand a siege of at least three months at any time. To that end, the stronghold possessed all the necessary facilities and supplies: drinking water cisterns, a mill and bakery, powder magazines, an arsenal… This new escape game invites you to step into the shoes of a garrison on high alert.
Two versions of the escape game are available:
Adult sessions (suitable for children ages 12 and up accompanied by two adults).
Children’s sessions (ages 8–12) and family sessions
