Information Muséum de Besançon :
For their well-being and in accordance with the regulations applied by an establishment such as the Besançon Museum, the animals are always free to shelter from the bad weather, but also from the heat in summer, from noise, from agitation, etc., which explains why they may not be visible.

The restoration and renovation work continues to make you feel welcome:

  • Access to the Queen's Tower completely redesigned
  • A Museum of the Resistance and Deportation undergoing complete renovation
  • Some areas of the zoo may be temporarily inaccessible due to renovation work in the enclosures and in certain areas. This work is being carried out as part of our animal welfare policy.
