FOLK AND BAROQUE

Songs of Oblivion is a poetic encounter between folk singer Lonny and Agamemnon, an ensemble specializing in17th-centurymusic. Blending ancient and modern repertoires, these instruments from another era, touching in their originality and strangeness, carry and adorn this gently melancholic voice. Alternating between English, French, and Italian, the baroque works slide into covers of20th-centuryartists and compositions by the folk singer, creating a moment of suspended music.
