Early18th century. We are in the midst of the War of the Spanish Succession. Louis XIV’s kingdom is under threat from all sides. The enemy is closing in, and the citadel must prepare for a siege.
You have very little time to gather the necessary resources. With careful thought, a keen eye, and skill, you’ll be able to find all the equipment you need to fend off the attack. The governor will come to check on everything in an hour—be ready for the inspection!
Like many other Vauban fortresses, the citadel of Besançon was designed to withstand a siege of at least three months at any time. To that end, the stronghold possessed all the necessary facilities and supplies: drinking water cisterns, a mill and bakery, powder magazines, an arsenal… This new escape game invites you to step into the shoes of a garrison on high alert.
Important!
Be sure to bring a warm jacket—the investigation might take you to some dark and cold places!
To solve the mystery within the allotted time, please arrive 15 minutes early (allow an extra 15 minutes for the climb from the Citadel entrance).
