Vauban Monument

Overview:

Alternating screenings of the films “Artillery versus Fortifications: A Franche-Comté Example of a Cat-and-Mouse Game from the Middle Ages to the 19th Century” and “The Citadel as Seen by a Peregrine Falcon”

The film “The Citadel as Seen by a Peregrine Falcon” is an immersive experience lasting about 5 minutes that allows visitors to explore the citadel as if they were a falcon—a protected species that nests in the site’s cliffs. A unique way to discover this breathtaking site! The film “Artillery Versus Fortifications” is a roughly 6-minute animated film that explains the evolution of artillery and fortifications from the late Middle Ages to the 19th century, using the examples of the Citadel of Besançon, the Citadel of Belfort, and the Château de Joux.
