"D’autres Formes" Festival: Crossing Borders – Group Exhibition

Friday, October 23, through Sunday, November 1, 2026

Overview:

"D’Autres Formes " continues its exploration of the intersections between art and technology and invites you to escape, interact, feel, marvel, drift, and let yourself be surprised.

(Interactive) installations, surprising games, concerts, performances, exhibitions: so many ways to explore, be surprised, dance with your mind as much as with your feet, and have a laugh—with friends, family, or on your own, for twenty minutes or for the whole afternoon.

"D’Autres Formes" is designed as a completely free creative journey that explores technological change with curiosity and sensitivity, based on the values of inclusion, non-judgmental sharing, and openness to all audiences.

A festival where you can create without knowing how to code, where you play with machines rather than being at their mercy, where you dream with your eyes wide open… and where everyone, in their own way, breaks free from boundaries and glimpses other forms of the future.

Gaming Exhibition, Installation, Meet the Artists

Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Opening reception on Friday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m.

"Nouvelles Formes" takes over the Hangar aux Manœuvres at the Citadel with a multifaceted exhibition that invites you to push beyond boundaries.

Yes, but which ones? Geographical boundaries, for starters, with immersive journeys to another planet, into the stratosphere, or underground—to those places that are usually inaccessible, mysterious, and steeped in fantasy (or apprehension, whichever you prefer).

Next, the boundaries between artists and audience practices, by exploring the world of gaming—not as a gamer, but simply as a spectator and even, dare we say, a voyeur.

Ideological boundaries, with the overturning of preconceived notions—or how even the most standardized, profit-driven, and closed-off technology can be repurposed for the sake of poetic escape, opening the door to losing ourselves or lingering in our own imaginations.

The boundaries of artistic formats, spanning interactivity, contemplation, latency, immediacy, framed paintings, prints on paper, VR, concrete, video, embroidery, wood, plants, metal, laser, sound through headphones, or ambient sound.

There's no set route here; you just wander wherever you please, much like when you browse the internet without a specific destination in mind.
