Opening periods
The Citadel is open all year round, 7 days a week, except 25 December, 1st January and annual closure of one month at the beginning of the year (in 2019, from 7 January to 3 February inclusive).

Recommended visit time
At least half a day for self-guided visits of the whole site. At least 2hrs for an exploratory visit.

2019 opening hours

• Annual closure: from 7 January to 3 February inclusive.
• Low season: until 30 March inclusive: 10am to 5pm.
• Middle season: from 31 March to 5 July inclusive: 9am to 6pm.
• High season: from 6 July to 25 August inclusive: 9am to 7pm.
• Middle season: from 26 August to 26 October inclusive: 9am to 6pm.
• Low season: from 27 October to 31 December inclusive: 10am to 5pm.

All attractions close 15 min. before the site closing time.
The ticket offices closes 30 min. before the site closing time.
The Zoo animals start being housed for the night between 1 hr and 1 hr 30 before closing time according to the season.
Pets are not allowed on the site (except guide dogs).
